The State of the Art of Architecture is a major project that parallels and complements the ambitions of the Chicago Architecture Biennial, challenging the traditional catalogue format. The curatorial team has invited practicing architects to converse and debate with leading theorists, artists, and curators, resulting in a set of 86 original texts. These dialogues chart mutual influences, alternative histories, past and future speculations. A cross-section of concerns and positions from around the world—and a rich documentation of the 2015 Biennial—make this book an invaluable survey of the state of architecture today.
The book is co-published with Lars Müller Publishers, and will be on sale in national and international bookstores in Fall 2016.
