The Chicago International Poster Biennial Association, a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization, funds all of its efforts through contributions from corporate partners and individuals.
2010 Sponsors
This international design initiative is made possible by generous contributions from in-kind sponsors like The Graphic Arts Studio in Barrington, IL, the excellent printer who creates all of our Biennial catalogs and posters (2008 and 2010).
We would also like to thank our generous hotel sponsor, theWit, for providing extraordinary accommodations for our international jury. If you will be visiting Chicago for either the jury weekend events from May 28 - May 30 or for the Biennial exhibition in late summer 2010, please make your hotel reservations at theWit.
Judging of the 2nd Chicago International Poster Biennial would not be possible without the partnership of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, our city’s landmark arts educational institution. SAIC is providing facilities for judging and lectures, along with significant student volunteer support and other overhead expenses.
The CIPBA is grateful for the overwhelming support and engagement of Chicago’s oldest professional design association, the Society of Typographic Arts, and its membership.
The CIPBA would also like to thank its sponsors, the City of Chicago for promotional and strategic support, JCDecaux for their contribution of promotional space, CB2 for their donation of poster display fixtures, Duggan Bertsch for their legal assistance, Impact! Architectural Signage for their contribution of exhibition and display products, and ShipShapes for their significant financial donation.
As a volunteer organization, the CIPBA and the 2010 Biennial would not be possible without the assistance of hundreds of individuals who give so generously of their time, effort, talent, and money. We would like to thank these individuals who are making significant in-kind contributions to the Biennial effort:
Joseph and Nancy Essex, Essex Two; Timothy Mills, webmaster and programmer, and Alex Lemanski, programmer; Erika Dufour, photographer; Robert Petrick, writer
2010 Donors of $1,000 or More
Tom Becker (Image Works Mfg.), Bart Crosby, James Duggan (Duggan Bertsch), Cheri Gearhart, Seth Hill (Mathematic Arts), John and Barbara Massey, Andrew Rogers, The Society of Typographic Arts (STA), Jack Weiss
Sponsor Opportunities
Sponsoring the activities of CIPBA allows corporations the opportunity to prove a commitment to global citizenship. Our belief in the value of visual literacy, international cooperation, and cross-cultural communication aligns well with many corporations who also wish to support and speak with a target market of design professionals. CIPBA offers sponsorship in three basic categories, each with a wide range of brand recognition and product demonstration benefits:
Gold Medal Presenting Sponsor
Silver Medal Sponsor
